10 Wealth-building tips that won't cost you a single peso

Before I list down my wealth tips, let me just point out that wealth doesn’t necessarily mean money and finances. Many people get this wrong, in that they think that wealth is for the “wealthy” or the rich but it is not because there are many types of wealth.

There are those who are wealthy materially, some wealthy with their health, some with their relationships and their families, some are wealthy with knowledge, some wealthy spiritually and so on. Some people could be wealthy in some aspects or most aspects and our ideal goal is really to be wealthy in most areas especially in the ones we value in our lives.

This list is more about material wealth but it also crosses over and transcends to the different types of wealth as well.

Without further ado, here is my top 10 wealth-building tips to start of this year and for the years to come!

Pay yourself first.
If after you receive your pay, your habit is to go to the mall to treat yourself to things you don’t really need but just want – that’s not paying yourself first, that’s paying the mall first.

Count what you already have.
If you’re focusing on the blessings you already have like family, good health, food on your table, a roof over your head etc. instead of complaining about what you don’t have, you’re already wealthy.

Give thanks to the ultimate source of all.
Remember, everything has a source, so give credit to where credit is due and when you do, you can expect more blessings to overflow into your life.

Step up and walk regularly.
Every step you take is a direct investment to your health fund. The longer you stay healthy, the longer your health fund stays in tact to grow for you.

Delete online shopping apps and replace them with financial/savings apps.
Stay clear of apps that make it convenient for you to spend money and replace them with ones that help you save instead. (Obviously if you an online seller or are making money off said apps, then this tip does not apply.)

Stop buying into other people’s drama.
It may be cheap and fun to a certain extent but it’s bad business and a waste of time and resource plus there is no real return of investment.

Stay low-key.
It keeps thieves from making you a target and detracts people who might like to take advantage of your generosity.

Compete only with yourself.
If you keep looking at other people’s achievements, you won’t have time to work on yours.

Live only 1 life.
Does your social media life match your real life or are you trying to compete with others by posting a life of luxury even if you can’t afford it? Remember living one life is already costly, living a second one is going to cost twice or thrice as much.

Don’t pay for something that you can get for free.
I know, nothing comes for free, right but there are actually ways we can still save money and resources by being more conscious of our actions. Example 1, if you’re in a mall that offers free wi-fi for an hour, doesn’t it make more sense to turn off your data and take advantage of that free wifi for an hour.  If you’re fond of buying body scrub from fancy boutiques that can be costly but also drink coffee at your favorite café, ask your barista instead for used coffee grounds – they make a great all-natural body scrub at 0 cost to you!

May you use the tips above to build your wealth this 2020 and in the coming more years and may abundance overflow in all aspects of your life.

P.S.
If you’re ready to take your wealth-building a notch higher, there are some action steps you need to take and first is educating yourself – as they say, no one goes into battle without armor. Second is for you to take whatever you learn and apply them into your own finances. Next is continuously learning about how you can improve your own financial status and last is to share what you know so others can benefit from it too.

If you’re called to any of the above, comment your email address below so we can get you started towards financial freedom!
